What Clients Are Saying

"There is no one better suited to helping people succeed in their creative goals.  Bob complements insight and experience with a generous and compassionate heart (and a good sense of humor, too!).  He is very easy to talk to, full of good ideas and useful techniques, and flexible in his approach.  The things I learned from working with Bob have enabled me to reach my goals and continue to resonate helpfully in other areas of my life. Bob was recommended to me by a writer friend at a time when my writing was completely blocked.  His advice and help proved invaluable, and now it's my turn to wholeheartedly recommend him to you!"

— V. K., Writer

"Bob,
Thanks to you, my first novel, Hello Kitty Must Die, is being released in two days. Kitty has garnered a lot of positive reviews including a starred Publisher Weekly. I could never have done it without your guidance and support. Thank you so much."

"I find that just anticipating a meeting with Bob will have me see my thought patterns more clearly.   Just thinking about what I will talk about with him will help me be more objective about my process for days before a session.   I find that having that appointment helps me get things done - like, "I will finish this painting before I see Bob next time."   And I do.   It's so great when I can go to him and tell him how well I'm doing - his jolly, cheerful, laid-back attitude is a real morale boost - yet at the same time, he's dead serious about helping me out.

I think any good coach or therapist will have that effect on you if you're into it, but Bob is all about the art.   I needed someone who understood my special problems, specific to being an artist."

— Vibrata Chromodoris, Painter & Digital Artist

"When I first started seeing Bob, I felt stuck — not so much in the creative process as in the ability to carry my work forward into the world and make a living from something that's meaningful to me.  Bob was able to support me through emotional issues I had that were keeping me from moving forward.  He also provides practical support through problem-solving and networking with other people.  One contact he gave me was instrumental in helping me to take a giant leap forward.  I am now moving forward with attainable goals, and I have my work going up in a gallery early next month.  If I had not worked with Bob, it is very likely that I would still be in the same place that I was a year ago.  I highly recommend working with him."

"Bob Ressler has become more than the coach I originally sought when we started working together.  He has become a wise and patient mentor.  He is kind and insightful, exactly the right qualities in someone who would help me realize my talents.  Because he is so very familiar with the creative process, he guides with a gentle and reassuring manner, but also challenges me to reach my very best.  I am very grateful to have found him."

— D. Roberts, Photographer, Writer, Educator

"After making a commitment to make time and space for my writing, I found myself blocked.  Paralyzed at the though of writing anything at all, I saw a flyer for the Artists, Performers and Writers Support Group/Salon.  I decided to try something different.

This group offers a safe place for the new or experienced artist to talk about the problems, triumphs and feelings encountered when doing creative work.  We shared ideas on a variety of topics while dispelling the myths about artists and the artistic process.

During the twelve-week period of the group, I found my attitude shifting from one of frustration to one of inspiration, and I was writing!  A whole new community of support opened up before me.

Now that I'm on my own, I know where to go for help.  I have the tools to stay open and not be isolated.  I started the group wanting to get unblocked; a year after the group, I'm living a creative life."
